***WARNING:*** Be sure that you have lots of time to work through this as well as energy, my parents say that when rules are involved I like to make things extremely complicated, and this might prove them right
One Power Dueling
You have developed the ability to cut or block other channelers' weaves, allowing you more finesse when battling with other channelers.
Benefit: When fighting another channeler you have the ability to cut through some of their weaves, injuring and distracting them, as well as block the shield or sever weaves.
To cut another channeler's weave, roll 1d20 + channeler level +the cutter's bonus on the relevant ability against a DC of the caster's relevant ability score + channelling level, + weave level.
If a weave is cut, the caster who loses the weave takes 1d6 + the weave level points of subdual damage. In addition, she must make a concentration check of DC 10 + the weave's level to continue embracing the Source. If she succeeds in the check and is holding any other weaves at the time of the check through the use of the Multiweave feat, she must make a concentration check of DC 15 + the weave's level.
If the channelers use opposite sides of the Source, there is a 15 % chance that the person attempting to cut through the weave will miss, before any other rolls are made.
To attempt to block a shield or sever weave, the channeler must sacrifice a weave slot one level lower than that of the weave cast. Overchanneling does not apply to this. Once the block is in place, opposed concentration checks of 1d20 + channeler's level + charisma score + relevant ability score must be made each round. If the blocker wins, the shield stays poised to cut them off from the Source, but has no game effect. If the caster wins, the blocker is cut off from the Source in 1d6 rounds minus the number by which the caster wins.
If a channeler is mantaining a block and wishes to cast a single weave, there is no restriction to the first weave she wishes to cast, except a concentration check of DC 10 + the weave's level. Any weaves cast with the Multiweave feat(s), however, face the following restrictions. If the other channeler is channeling only the shield or sever weave, is not using a block, and is not performing any other actions no more weaves than the one can be cast. However, if the opposing channeler is splitting his attention, both can cast 0 level weaves using the Multiweave feats, with a concentration check against DC 15 +weave's level. Each additional weave cast at the same time adds +3 to the DC. Each 0 level weave cast in this way will be a -1 point from the channeler's concentration check to mantain the block.
To cast anything over 0 level, compare the two channelers' totals in charisma + relevant ability + channeling level. If one of the channeler's score is higher than the other, he can cast one weave at a level equal to the difference or more than one weave as long as the total levels does not exceed that difference and he has the required Multiweave feats. They must make the same concentration check as described above for 0 level weaves. Each weave held in this way will subtract 1 + the weave's level from the channeler's attempt to mantain the block.
A channeler holding a weave who wants to put up a block must make a concentration check of DC 15. Any channeler holding more than one weave cannot put up a block.
There is a 5 percent chance that a channeler trying to block the weave from a channeler of the different sex will miss the weave altogether. This must come before any other rolls.
Ok, I have a tendency to make things way to complex, so my apologies to anyone who read through this and regretted it
1. Should 'cutting' a weave require a weave slot?
2. What kind of weaves were able to be cut in the book? I don't think it was all of them, but I could be wrong. Were they only weaves that were targeted on the channeler, or were they other than that as well?
agh, I know I had other questions but I don't remember what they were now. I'll add them on as I think of them.
